People are constantly judging our words and our actions – and of course, our appearance. We take pride in how we look, and we expect our coworkers to do the same. We report for duty wearing clean and neatly pressed uniforms, with highly polished boots and leather gear. We pay attention to every detail to make sure we project a professional appearance. Now is a good time to consider what you are wearing under your uniform. Ofc. Simon was issued the award for Valor today for her medical treatment of a critically injured person. Her actions were performed at the scene of a traffic accident while on duty for USTASC. Ofc. Simon showed extraordinary abilities, dedication to duty and the preservation of life. Congratulations Ofc. Simon!

Ofc. China Davis receives Valor Award Ofc. China Davis was involved in an incident during her duty time at Sandpiper Dunes on 7/30/2019 at approx 2130 hours.  There was a serious accident that occurred in the roadway adjacent to her property. Without hesitation Simon responded and performed CPR on the individual until police and fire personnel arrived on the scene.  Her dedicated effort to save a human life, professionalism while on duty, and overall dedication to duty has earned her the Valor award. Ofc. Davis's actions are an example to all USTASC personnel. Ofc. Davis, thank you for your dedicated efforts and quick action, Chief E. Avnet

To all handgun permit holders with USTASC: All handgun permits will now be directly mailed to the applicant at their residential address that they included on their MSP applications. For those who have pending permits, when you receive the permit you are required to send a copy of the permit to the office immediately and respond to the office for additional instructions. Remember, the handgun permits will no longer come to us, they are going to come to you directly.  -Chief E. Avnet

New Online USTASC Apparel Store You can now purchase USTASC apparel online, including hats, jackets, shirts, etc. The snake crest is typically for patrol officers and administration while the skull crest is typically for SOG. Although, there is no restrictions on purchasing products, many products are not authorized for on duty use. To All Officers Working Polynesian and El Captain and supervisors: The stairwells MUST be checked frequently. There has been damage to the lights in each of the stairwells of El Captain. All the lights were broken out, plus a sign in the elevator on 7/23 and all of the lights in the opposite stairwell were broken out on 7/24. Each officer MUST put in their log report that they are checking the stairwells on patrol. IT MUST BE IN YOUR LOG REPORTS. Management is requesting that 75% of the officer's time be spent at El Cap to curb this issue. Supervisors please make sure this is happening. -Chief E. Avnet
