Corona Update

To all Officers,

We are actively distributing protective gear to officers however, as officers you have to understand that there is a very, very limited amount of protective gear to go around. You must save your masks for multiple days of use. 

Fortunately, we have an order coming in for a longer-term solution to the disposable masks however, they will not be here until next week.

In the meantime, I have directed the transport officers to distribute masks and gloves to the Cannabis Industry Protection Officers. I have also directed another officer to distribute masks accordingly. All Eastern Shore USTASC personnel can respond to headquarters to obtain a mask and gloves.

I am working on getting more supplies out shortly. 

To Curaleaf cannabis dispensary officers, effective immediately you will ask all incoming persons the following questions prior to admittance...

You MAY NOT ASK THEM if they are infected with any particular disease or COVID-19 (Corona Virus).

You must ask them:

1. Are you running a fever?

2. Do you have any symptoms of a contagious disease?

3. Are you self quarantined? 

Any person that answers yes to any of the above questions must be denied entry and the denial must be reported to me directly via email at eavnet@ustasc.com.

Again it is important to keep a rational outlook on this. We are taking preventive steps to keep personnel safe. Skin is a barrier to the virus. So, wash your hands frequently and keep your hands away from your nose, mouth, and eyes. Do not shake hands with anyone or touch anyone. Try to keep a distance of 3-6 feet from all persons. 

All personnel who enter headquarters are now required to enter through the BACK DOOR ONLY and DO NOT ENTER the administrative offices. The administrative offices constitute a much smaller environment than the back rooms with restricted airflow. 

There are cleaning supplies on the back desk below the keybox. Use these cleaning supplies to spray down equipment, keys, vests, firearms, etc prior to checking them in.  Those spraying firearms, make sure to wipe the firearm down after spraying and lube as needed. Do not use bleach on firearms. Use cleaning agents as required but use them sparingly.
