As you know this crazyness with the Corna Virus is on going. We, as essential personnel, must work. We are frankly lucky at this point to continue to be able to serve our clients and have jobs. As you know, people in many different industries such as hotels, bars, restaurants are entirely out of work.
We have no intention of discontinuing or pausing services. However, if our clients require a mandatory shut down OR if the government orders a "shelter in place" order, we may have to temporarily suspend services to clients. If this happens, although employers may be paused, it is my intention to not terminate anyone's employment over this. It is unknown how the government will supplement income, however, we will continue to stay on top of this situation, looking out for you, the patrol officer. You are the backbone of USTASC.
We are taking additional steps in order to keep our officers safe during this. Bear in mind that gloves, masks and etc are in very short supply. You may stop by headquarters and pick up some. We are dropping off masks to patrol officers on the Western Shore today. But, you must make masks last for days until we receive our orders of longer-lasting equipment. We anticipate this equipment by the end of the month. Until then, wash your hands, remain 6 feet from persons, use masks as appropriate.
As the situation progresses, we may activate the Special Operations Group (SOG). The SOG is now on a standby status. If activation occurs, SOG team members will be assigned to areas that are required to have enhanced security. If a SOG notice is issued the following personnel will report the USTASC Headquarters immediately, baring any current government assignment.
